MAJOR THEFT AND PROPERTY DAMAGE AT LOCAL PRO SHOP

On August 22, 2025, Crossville Police Officer Justin Farmer responded to a reported burglary in progress at 1701 Tennessee Ave near River Run Golf Club. Upon arrival, the property manager reported that a man, later identified as John Paul Walker, was seen with stolen items, including three fishing poles and part of a tackle box, near a pond by the Pro Shop.

The manager noted that Walker was the same individual who had previously broken into the Pro Shop and Maintenance Shop and stolen items from the Pavilion on August 20, 2025, with evidence of forced entry at the Pro Shop. Surveillance video and still photos provided by the property owner confirmed Walker’s presence in the Maintenance Shop, showing his handling items, including a fishing pole, while wearing the same distinctive clothing and tattoo as observed on scene.

Despite Walker’s claim that the fishing equipment was his and that he had not entered the shops, additional stolen items, including a grease gun, hedge trimmers, and a crowbar-like tool, were found in his 2009 black Chevy Silverado.

A counterfeit $100 bill was also discovered in his truck.

The total value of stolen items was approximately $1,150, with property damage estimated at $7,500. Walker was arrested, charged with Felony Vandalism, Felony Theft of Property, and Burglary, and transported to the Justice Center.

The recoverable stolen items were returned to the property manager and owner, and evidence was secured at the Crossville Police Department, with the owner agreeing to provide video footage later.
