This morning at 4:31 AM, a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles occurred on eastbound Interstate 40. The incident involved a 2014 Chevy CTZ driven by 30-year-old Alexis Wood and a 2024 Nissan Sentra driven by 20-year-old Kaitlyn Foster, both Tennessee residents.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and reported no injuries.

The vehicles made contact, causing them to veer off the roadway, overturn, and come to rest in a ditch. No passengers were reported in either vehicle, and no charges have been filed pending the outcome of the investigation.
