CROSSVILLE NURSE HONORED BY W.A.T.E. 6 NEWS

Amy Thomas, a licensed nurse practitioner at Life Care of Crossville, was named WATE 6 News’s September Nurse of the Month for her exceptional dedication and care. Inspired to pursue nursing at age 38 after her two-year-old son’s two-month hospital stay, Thomas has now been a nurse for 20 years.
She finds great fulfillment in helping patients recover and return home, cherishing the moments when she can hold their hands during tough times. Thomas expressed gratitude for the appreciation she receives from her patients and credits Life Care for her growth as a nurse.
The Nurse of the Month recognition highlights local nurses like Thomas, as well as others such as Crystal Shipley of Seymour Medical Center and Shannon Day of VIP Family Home Care in Oliver Springs, who go above and beyond in their care. Nominations for this honor are encouraged to celebrate nurses who embody such dedication.
