ROCKWOOD RECEIVES LETTER OF COMMENDATION FROM STATE COMPTROLLER
The City of Rockwood received a letter of commendation from the Tennessee State Comptroller’s Office for passing its budget on time this year. According to City Administrator Becky Rupee, the letter congratulated the city on a timely budget process with no findings. It expressed appreciation for the hard work and commitment of Rockwood’s local officials, including budget and finance staff, in operating the city government with a sound financial plan.
The accompanying certificate was awarded based on the following: the budget was adopted on or before the fiscal year-end, it was filed with the Comptroller’s Office within 15 days of adoption, no issues were raised during the budget review, and Rockwood is not currently under the oversight of the Tennessee Board of Utility Regulation.
The letter and certificate recognize the City of Rockwood for its compliance and responsible budget processes.
