ROCKWOOD ANNOUNCES BIG CHANGES TO THEIR CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

The City of Rockwood, along with Rockwood 2000 and Rockwood Civitan, is excited to launch the all-new “Rock’n the Holidays” on Saturday, December 6, 2025, with this year’s theme of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” For the first time, the Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade will be combined into one big celebration.
Festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. at Homecoming Park with Christmas music hosted by Scott Wilks of Wilk Production Studios, free hot chocolate, and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The parade lineup begins at 6:00 p.m. at Rockwood High School and will step off at 7:00 p.m., led by Grand Marshals Ron and Marsha Berry, followed by Civitan and RHS alumni classes.
After years of safety and traffic challenges with the Gateway route, the parade is moving back downtown. New rules require all participants to submit forms, waivers, and proof of insurance (if vehicles are involved); candy may no longer be thrown from vehicles but may be handed out by walkers.
The parade will head down Front Street to the truck route, ending at Wilder Avenue.
