DOLLY PARTON’S CREATIVE DIRECTOR TO HOST FUNDRAISER AT ROANE STATE
The Roane State Foundation is hosting a special fundraising event on November 14, 2025, at Roane State Community College’s flagship campus in Harriman to benefit the college’s visual and performing arts programs as well as athletics.
The evening will feature Harriman native Steve Summers, a nationally recognized costume designer and creative director who has styled Dolly Parton for over three decades, beginning as a singer and dancer at Dollywood in the early 1990s, progressing to an onstage dance partner, and becoming creative director in 2006, where he and his team now produce up to 300 clothing ensembles for Parton annually. Held in the O’Brien Theatre at 276 Patton Lane, the 7:30 p.m. ET program—emceed by former local news anchor Beth Haynes—will include Summers sharing stories of his journey with Parton, an exclusive exhibit of her costumes, and a special recorded message from Dolly herself, following a 6:30 p.m. VIP meet-and-greet.
Tickets, with varying prices based on seating and a limited number of VIP options, are available at our.show/summersevening, and a discount code for non-VIP seating is provided to Roane State students, faculty, and staff via college email; for more details, contact [email protected].
