MASSIVE DRUG BUST AT FAIRFIELD GLADE HOME
According to a report by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, on October 31, 2025, at approximately 6:22 a.m., Cumberland County Deputy Nikolas Brendel arrived at Rugby Road in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, to serve a probation violation warrant on a suspect. The resident, 47-year-old Laura Jasmine Peterson, answered the door and denied the suspect was present, stating he had moved out months earlier.
With Peterson’s consent, Deputy Brendel conducted a protective sweep and immediately observed in plain view inside a rear bedroom: a glass methamphetamine pipe with residue, a small baggie containing 0.8 grams of a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine, a digital scale, and a large vacuum-sealed bag containing approximately 9.9 ounces of marijuana—far exceeding personal-use quantities. Peterson was detained, read her Miranda rights, and initially invoked them but then made spontaneous statements claiming she was “only holding” the marijuana for someone else. She was arrested on-view for Schedule VI drug violations and possession of methamphetamine.
A subsequent search warrant was obtained and executed the same day. Additional evidence seized included 280.66 grams and 11.5 grams of marijuana, 3 grams of suspected marijuana seeds, 41.8 grams of an unknown yellowish waxy substance (sent to TBI for analysis), drug paraphernalia (grinder, rolling papers, pipes), a black digital scale, a blue Samsung A15 phone, a black Samsung 16GB flash drive, a black-and-silver HP laptop, and a Zosi network video recorder with hard drive.
Peterson was booked into Cumberland County Jail on charges of Schedule VI Drugs: Manufacture, Delivery, Sale, or Possession and Possession or Exchange of Methamphetamine, with bonds set at $2,500 and $4,000 respectively and a court date of December 1, 2025.
The residence owner, Peterson’s mother, and the original intended suspect were listed as other involved parties, though the suspect was not located.
All evidence was logged, photographed, and secured; the case remains under investigation.
