On Monday December 29, 2025 at approximately 8:30pm, Monterey Police Department officers along with Monterey Fire Department units responded to 516 N. Holly St. for what was reported as an explosion and a fire. When the responding police and fire units arrived there was an out building on the property that was fully involved.

Monterey Fire Department extinguished the fire. No first responders were injured during this incident. TBI Arson Investigators responded to the scene at the request of the Monterey Police Department.
