DETAILS ON LAST NIGHT’S CRASH ON I-40 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
On January 12, 2026, at approximately 6:58 p.m., a single-vehicle crash occurred on eastbound Interstate 40 at mile marker 335 in Cumberland County. The incident involved a 2021 RAM 1500 pickup truck driven by 19-year-old Khwaja Y. Sedioi from Tennessee. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained injuries and was the only person listed in the vehicle.
No other vehicles, drivers, or passengers were involved or reported. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary report, the truck traveled off the right side of the roadway, entered the ditch line, struck a tree, and came to rest there.
No charges have been filed at this time, pending further investigation.
