The Fentress County Sheriff Department in partnership with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office will be conducting Sobriety Checkpoints throughout the Fentress County area on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 6pm until 2am. This is in efforts to rid the roadways of impaired drivers. Checkpoints may be located on US 127/ 62, West Rock Quarry Rd, and Clark Range Estates Rd. Officers will be paying special attention to the impaired driver that has chosen poorly and elects to drink and drive on these roadways.

Officer’s overtime is paid through a grant with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
