According to an arrest report by the Crossville Police Department, on January 22, 2026, Crossville Police officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on Oak Grove Street who was interfering with belongings placed outside following an eviction. The caller described the individual as wearing a blue jacket and throwing dirt. Upon arrival, the officer encountered a woman in the front yard holding and throwing dirt onto the evicted furniture while also eating it. She refused to identify herself, spoke incoherently to herself with random utterances, exhibited bloodshot eyes and dilated pupils, and struggled to stand still—indicators of possible intoxication or impairment.

A neighbor, who was the complainant, confirmed she did not live there and was unknown to him. When the woman attempted to walk away, the officer attempted to detain her due to her erratic behavior. She verbally refused commands to place her hands behind her back, and physical resistance ensued as the officer grabbed her right arm; a second officer then assisted by securing her left arm. After a brief struggle, she was handcuffed.

During a search, she allegedly spat grass toward the officer’s face and later spat on the officer’s shoe. Concealed in her bra were several rocks, two butter knives, and other items. She continued yelling and resisting throughout the encounter. Officers had to physically assist her into the patrol vehicle by lifting her legs. She remained uncooperative and unidentified during transport to the Cumberland County Justice Center, where she continued spitting, making nonsensical remarks, and resisting jail staff.

Subsequent efforts to identify her included using photo resources and consulting the housing authority, who confirmed—after viewing a photograph—that she was the evicted resident, Ericka Savage. The complainant provided a statement regarding his earlier interaction with her.
