BRANDON CHANCE JONES FOUND GUILTY OF ARSON IN CUMBERLAND GENERAL SESSIONS COURT

Brandon Chance Jones was found guilty as charged of arson in Cumberland County’s General Sessions Court before Judge Shawn Fry. This stems from the intentional March 2, 2024, fire at Bootleggers Bar and Grill on Highway 70 in Crossville, Tennessee, which caused heavy roof damage and extensive interior smoke.
A multi-agency investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), Crossville Police and Fire Departments, and the ATF determined the blaze was deliberately set and identified Jones as the perpetrator.
He was indicted by the Cumberland County Grand Jury on January 6, 2025, arrested the next day on a $75,000 bond, and also faced a parallel federal arson charge for destruction of a building by fire, which delayed state proceedings as he was held in federal custody.
Jones has additional state charges, including felony theft, felon in possession of a firearm, evading arrest, and others, but the General Sessions guilty finding marks a key resolution on the arson count in this long-running case.
