Early this morning, around 1:00 a.m., a single-vehicle accident occurred on Holloway Road in the lower portion of the Eureka community in Rockwood. Initial reports suggested the car had gone into the water, but according to EMA Director Tim Suiter, who checked on the overnight incident, that was not the case.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call, which took place just outside the Rockwood city limits.

The crash involved an elderly female who was experiencing a mental health issue and lost control of her vehicle. The Tennessee Highway Patrol was called in to handle the wreck report.

No serious injuries were reported.
