BRANDON CHANCE JONES PLEADS GUILTY IN STATE COURT TO ARSON IN CROSSVILLE BAR FIRE CASE
According to public court records, Brandon Chance Jones, 27, pleaded guilty in Tennessee state court to arson related to the intentional fire that destroyed the old Bootleggers Bar on Highway 70 East in Crossville on March 2 of 2024. He entered his guilty plea as charged before Criminal Court Judge Shawn Fry on January 20, 2026, receiving an eight-year sentence to be served at 30% as a Range I offender.
A sentencing hearing in federal court is set for May 18, at which point Jones may still have the opportunity to withdraw his plea. The state and federal cases both stem from the same March 2024 arson at the former bar location, about two blocks from Main Street in Crossville.
