CUMBERLAND MAYOR ALLEN FOSTER ADVOCATES FOR RURAL TENNESSEE IN DC AND LOCAL EVENTS
Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster shared an update on his busy week of community service and advocacy. Earlier in the week, he traveled to Washington, DC, alongside other mayors from the Upper Cumberland region to meet with federal legislators and their staff. The purpose was to discuss the specific needs of their local communities and ensure that rural Tennessee has a strong voice in national decision-making. This trip was facilitated by the Upper Cumberland Development District.
The following day proved equally packed, as he attended a Tennessee Tech University Board of Trustees meeting, visited the Cumberland County Republican Women’s Club to hear from Speaker Cameron Sexton, and concluded the evening at the Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event held at the Cumberland County Playhouse.
Mayor Foster expressed gratitude for the chance to represent Cumberland County and collaborate with so many dedicated individuals invested in the community’s future, signing off with the sentiment: “Your mayor, Your voice.”
