BRIDGE INSPECTIONS IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY COULD SLOW TRAFFIC
Routine bridge inspections by TDOT in Cumberland County could slow traffic down in three areas.
The first is at the Highway 127 bridge over Byrd’s Creek near Homestead. This will require closure of the southbound lane from noon until 3 p.m.
The second area is the Highway 127 bridge over Three Mile Creek. This will take place on Monday (March 23, 2026), and the southbound lane will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.
The third is on Highway 127 over the Obed River just south of I-40. Starting Wednesday (March 25, 2026), the southbound right lane approaching the bridge will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Flaggers will be present to direct traffic through the work zone. Motorists are advised to be aware of temporary traffic control measures and alert to the presence of TDOT personnel and equipment in the vicinity of the bridge.
