CROSSVILLE BAIL BONDSMAN INDICTED BY BRADLEY COUNTY JURY IN CONNECTION WITH CVS SHOOTING

A bail bondsman from Crossville, James Alexander Howe, has been indicted by a Bradley County grand jury in connection with a shooting that occurred in a Cleveland, Tennessee, CVS parking lot in October 2025.
The indictment includes two charges: reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, alleging that Howe’s actions placed another person in danger of death or serious injury, and filing a false report to law enforcement.
According to the charges, Howe initially claimed he exchanged gunfire with a fugitive during the incident, but the report he provided to authorities did not accurately reflect what actually happened.
The charges were returned during the March term of the Bradley County Criminal Court, and Howe is scheduled to appear for arraignment on April 27th.
