CROSSVILLE MAN, ERIC GARRISON, INDICTED FOR FIRST DEGREE MURDER
Eric B. Garrison, age 43, has been indicted for first-degree murder in Cumberland County, Tennessee. The charge stems from a shooting on August 22, 2025, on Main Street in Crossville, in which Albert Sturgill was shot and later died. Initially, on August 23, 2025, Garrison was charged with second-degree murder based on the information available to investigators at that time.
After a full investigation, the case was presented to the Cumberland County Grand Jury on April 7, 2026. Following testimony from the lead investigator, the Grand Jury returned a True Bill of Indictment, upgrading the charge to first-degree murder.
Garrison was arrested on April 8, 2026, and is being held in the Cumberland County Jail on a $1.5 million bond. His arraignment in Cumberland County Criminal Court is scheduled for May 12, 2026.
