Just after 6 AM on April 15, a tree fell across some power lines on Ruratan Road, just outside the Harriman city limits. The incident prompted a response from fire department personnel and utility crews to the scene.

Harriman Fire was dispatched at the request of Midtown Volunteer Fire, even though the location was outside the city limits.

According to Harriman Fire Chief Jon Johnson, a couple of cars were damaged by the fallen tree, but no structures were hit and no injuries were reported.
