This temporary service interruption is weather-dependent and is required to transfer the electrical load to a mobile transformer, allowing crews to perform essential testing, inspections, and maintenance on the primary transformer.

Residents who were impacted by previous outages in the Kingston area should expect to be affected by this one as well. While the work is necessary to ensure long-term grid reliability, the utility notes that if inclement weather prevents the work from proceeding, the outage will be rescheduled for the next available opportunity.
