On Monday, April 27, 2026, at approximately 10:33 AM, emergency dispatchers in Crossville received a call for a motor vehicle accident involving possible injuries from an incident at 83 North Side Lane, Suite 103, the former location of the Cumberland County Election Commission.

According to the available details, a Honda CRV crashed directly into the Election Commission building which had previously been affected by a significant fire in late March 2026 that damaged voting machines and portions of the structure, leading to a temporary relocation of operations.

The elderly occupant is in fine condition.

As of the time of the call, no further public details on the cause of the crash (such as mechanical failure, medical emergency, or other factors), are immediately available beyond the initial dispatch information.
