Flags are to be flown at half-staff across Tennessee by order of the Governor from sunrise today (April 30, 2026) until sunset on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the State Capitol, all state office buildings, city and county buildings, and public grounds to honor State Representative G.A. Hardaway, who passed away on April 24, 2026, while serving in office.

Separately, by order of the President and in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code, flags will also be at half-staff nationwide from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in observance of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Day.
