At 1:30 PM EST, a police emergency and school lockdown were initiated at Halls Elementary School in Knox County (7500 block of Andersonville Pike) following reports of an individual with a firearm on campus.

Authorities are currently on-site managing the threat and securing the facility.

The public is urged to avoid the area and must slow down and move over for responding emergency vehicles to ensure a swift and safe resolution.
