CROSSVILLE OFFICER USES FORCE TO DETAIN PROBATIONER RESISTING ARREST AT CITY SPLASH PAD
On May 2, 2026, Officer Keith Sadula and Sgt. Henson responded to a call at the City Splash Pad involving a male and female, the male later identified as Jacob Sarkissian, who had entered a single bathroom stall together with their bicycles. Upon arriving at the stall, officers noted the distinct odor of marijuana and heard a toilet flushing after knocking on the door. When the door eventually opened, Mr. Sarkissian refused to comply with orders to exit the bathroom, prompting Officer Sadula to physically lead him out by his jacket.
The situation escalated when Mr. Sarkissian pulled away while being detained, leading Officer Sadula, Sgt. Henson, and Mptl. Mcneal to take him to the ground to secure him in handcuffs. During the subsequent escort to the patrol vehicle, Mr. Sarkissian continued to resist by flailing his body, requiring the officer to physically lift and move him.
Mr. Sarkissian, who was confirmed to be on probation, later admitted to resisting during a phone call made at the intake facility.
