TIRES SLASHED IN CROSSVILLE PARKING LOT IN ALLEGED RETALIATION AFTER PHYSICAL FIGHT

On May 4, 2026, at approximately 9:45 PM, an officer responded to a vandalism report at the gas station parking lot of Obed Plaza. The victim reported that all four tires on her 2024 black Hyundai Elantra had been slashed while the vehicle was parked there between 6:00 PM and 9:30 PM. Each tire—two front Goodyear 225/45R17 and two rear Land Sail 225/45R17—had a single knife puncture, with the total value of the damaged tires estimated at around $800.

The victim indicated ongoing issues with a person (who will be unnamed as they have yet to be arrested and charged) and stated that the two had been involved in a physical altercation earlier that day around 4:00 PM at The Pit Stop on Genesis Road, though neither party pursued charges at the time.

Later that evening, a screenshot of a text message sent at 11:23 PM was provided as evidence. The message, sent to one of the victim’s friends, read: “how’s those slashed tires for yall.”

At the time of the report, no charges had been filed and the suspect had not been located or interviewed. The screenshot was added to the case file.
