KINGSTON POLICE ARREST COLOMBIAN MAN WITH MULTIPLE FELONY WARRANTS, SEIZE VAN IN THEFT RING PROBE
On May 20, 2026, at approximately 3:57 p.m., the Kingston Police Department received a FLOCK system alert regarding a white Nissan van whose driver had outstanding felony warrants in North Carolina. Officers located the vehicle and its driver, 26-year-old Elvis Ibarguen Salazar of Colombia, at the Rocky Top location on 200 W. Race Street.
With assistance from the Roane County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Salazar was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed he also had active felony warrants in Williamson County, Tennessee. He is suspected of involvement in multiple thefts and break-ins across Tennessee and North Carolina, and is believed to be part of a larger crime organization.
The van and multiple packages inside it were seized, and a search warrant will be executed as the investigation continues.
