On May 18, 2026, Crossville Police Department officers responded to the area of Goodwin Circle regarding a suspicious male claiming to be from Verizon, believed to possibly be involved in a scam. The subject, described as wearing khaki pants, a safety vest, and carrying a black backpack, was located at the intersection of Primrose Street and Goodwin Circle. He was identified as Jeremy Waller.

A warrants check revealed that Waller was wanted in Florida on a felony Aggravated Stalking warrant with full extradition requested, along with revocation of his pretrial release. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the hold. Waller was placed under arrest, transported to the Justice Center Intake, and Officer Larry Qualls signed the out-of-state arrest warrant.
