REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER TO APPEAR IN COURT ON MONDAY
Robert Edwin Olson is scheduled to appear in the Cumberland County General Sessions Court on Monday, June 8, 2026, to face a criminal charge of violating the state’s sexual offender registration law. The appearance stems from a Class E felony charge filed on May 5, 2026, following an investigation by Detective Tyrel Lorenz of the Crossville Police Department.
According to the court docket and accompanying affidavit, Olson—a registered sex offender from Minnesota—allegedly failed to report and register with Tennessee authorities within the required 48-hour window after moving into the Executive Inn in Crossville. During a compliance check on May 1, 2026, law enforcement confirmed Olson’s extended stay through motel staff and his wife, and Olson reportedly admitted over the phone that he had been staying at the motel and had not notified Minnesota authorities of his travel to Tennessee.
