SOME PACKAGES OF GAS-X RECALLED FOR CONTAMINATION WITH CHEMICAL USED IN COOLANTS AND ANTIFREEZE
We reported on this before, but here is a reminder:
Manufacturer Haleon has issued a recall for certain lots of Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels (120-count, 125 mg) sold at Costco between April 13 and May 8 of this year due to a potential machine leak that may have contaminated the packaging with a diluted propylene glycol-based coolant. The affected packages can be identified by the UPC 300674350419, an expiration date of 2028/NOV, and lot numbers TL8K, YH9X, or YH9Y printed on the blister cards.
This follow-up recall comes after previous lots were recalled late last month under an FDA Class II classification, which indicates that exposure could cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. While no illnesses or injuries have been reported to date, customers who purchased the impacted product are advised to return it to Costco for a full refund, consult a healthcare provider if they experience issues, or contact Haleon Consumer Relations at 1-800-245-1040 for further questions.
