A few days ago, 3B Media News reported on the arrest of Eric Brown, as well as his list of charges. But recently, a Cumberland County grand jury handed down a 14-count indictment against Brown, who is accused of repeatedly sexually abusing a juvenile while acting in a position of trust.

Brown appears on the Cumberland County Circuit Court criminal docket today, June 23, 2026, for an arraignment hearing following his arrest. A judge has set his bond at $500,000.

The indictment, which was officially returned by the grand jury and entered by the Circuit Court Clerk on June 16, 2026, outlines a series of felony charges involving a single juvenile victim.

The 14 felony counts brought against Brown include:

• Five (5) counts of Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure (Class B Felony)

• Five (5) counts of Aggravated Statutory Rape (Class D Felony)

• Four (4) counts of Sexual Battery by an Authority Figure (Class C Felony)

According to court records, the alleged abuse took place over two distinct timeframes when the victim was 14 and 15 years old.

The first eight counts stem from multiple incidents alleged to have occurred between December 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020. The remaining six counts charge Brown with separate offenses committed on or about January 15, 2021.

The indictments state that Brown was significantly older than the minor—meeting the statutory threshold of being at least 10 years older for the aggravated charges—and that he actively used a “position of trust” to perpetrate the unlawful sexual contact.

The case is being spearheaded by District Attorney General Bryant C. Dunaway’s office. Investigators listed Tyrel Lorenz of the Crossville Police Department (CPD) as the primary affiant and state witness in the matter.

Brown remains held under the $500,000 bond as the legal process moves into the pre-trial phase.
