Local residents planning to visit county offices or utilize local services next week will need to adjust their schedules ahead of the Independence Day holiday.

Cumberland County officials have announced that all county offices, including the local animal shelter, will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of Independence Day.

Additionally, the solid waste department will be closed on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Residents who normally utilize waste services on Saturdays are encouraged to plan ahead for the holiday weekend.

In a statement releasing the holiday schedule, Cumberland County officials extended their warmest regards to the community, wishing all residents and their families a safe and happy Independence Day.
