MANHUNT ENDS: BRADLEY COUNTY HOMICIDE SUSPECT CHRISTOPHER JOHN TAYLOR IN CUSTODY

A manhunt for a 28-year-old homicide suspect came to an end after authorities successfully took Christopher John Taylor into custody.

Taylor was the prime suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at a residence on Lowery Street NE. Detectives with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office had previously secured an arrest warrant charging Taylor with Second Degree Murder.

Following the incident, law enforcement issued a critical safety warning to the public, describing Taylor as armed and dangerous. However, following his arrest, officials confirmed that the immediate danger has passed.

“There is no ongoing threat to the public related to this incident,” the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank our law enforcement partners and the public for their assistance and cooperation during this investigation.”

Authorities noted that the investigation into the shooting remains active and ongoing. Additional details regarding the circumstances of the arrest or the homicide will be released as they become available.
