CUMBERLAND COUNTY 19-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH VEHICULAR HOMICIDE IN FATAL 2025 LANTANA ROAD CRASH

A 19-year-old local man has been formally served with a warrant for vehicular homicide in connection with a deadly two-vehicle crash that occurred on Lantana Road in July 2025.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Christopher Page served the warrant on Colt Weston Seiber at the Cumberland County Jail on August 4, 2026. Seiber is being held on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on August 11, 2026.

The charges stem from a head-on collision on Lantana Road near Laurel Creek. According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), Seiber—then 18—was driving a 2007 GMC Sierra south out of Crossville when the vehicle left the roadway. After over-correcting, the truck crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a 2017 Toyota RAV4 driven by Dennis W. Woodring, 60, a Cumberland County resident and corporal with the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

Both vehicles came to rest blocking both lanes of travel after the impact, and at least one caught fire. Woodring was killed in the crash, while Seiber sustained injuries. Following a lengthy investigation by the THP, the case has led to the formal filing of vehicular homicide charges against Seiber.
