A Fairfield Glade resident was arrested late last month following a family dispute on Sugarbush Circle, where authorities say he lied about his identity to law enforcement officers.

According to a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Fairfield Glade Police Officer Heston Charlton responded to a disturbance call at Sugarbush Circle on the night of August 20, 2026. The complainant stated he wanted his 30-year-old son, Blake Anthony Yoakum, removed from the home just after he had arrived from Florida.

Upon entering the residence, officers located Blake Yoakum sitting at the kitchen table, noting he appeared unsteady, slurring his words, and smelling strongly of alcohol. When asked for his identification, Blake initially gave a false name. A name that belonged to an individual known to the officer.

Blake was immediately detained for providing false information. After dispatch confirmed his true identity, he was placed under arrest for criminal impersonation.

During the transport to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Blake reportedly became combative, hurling profanities, making direct threats of violence against the officer and the officer’s family, and claiming he would skip his court appearance.

Blake Yoakum was booked into custody on a $5,000 bond and faces a General Sessions Court appearance scheduled for October 5, 2026.
