ROANE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD WELCOMES NEWLY SWORN-IN MEMBERS AT AUGUST MEETING
The Roane County Board of Education held its August meeting, marking the official swearing-in of four board members and highlighting key community partnerships dedicated to student success.
Mayor Wade Creswell presided over the swearing-in ceremony for returning and incoming board members Larry Brackett, Sam Cox, Baron Tapp, and Jessica Hunsaker, who officially took their oaths of office to serve the local school system and community.

American Legion District 2: Representatives shared details regarding student-focused Americanism programs serving the Oliver Springs and Harriman areas. Programs include college scholarships, speech contests, Boys State, Girls State, and government leadership initiatives.

Youth Leadership Students: Local students attended the meeting to observe board proceedings firsthand and gain practical experience in civic responsibility and community governance.
