Woodroe “Peewee” Frazier, 78, of Crossville, TN, passed away peacefully at his home on August 29, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved dearly.

Woodroe was born in the old Pleasant Hill Hospital to Thomas Hamilton Frazier and Roby Gaye Blaylock Frazier, both of whom preceded him in death. He grew up in Cumberland and White Counties and, as a young man, proudly served his country in the United States Army. Woodroe was deeply proud of being a veteran and carried that pride with him throughout his life.

Following his military service, Woodroe began a long career with Mallory, where he faithfully worked for 33 years. He was a Baptist and a man of strong faith, family, and simple joys. One of his greatest loves was bluegrass music. He treasured the music, the friendships, and the many people he came to know through the bluegrass community.

Woodroe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Wanda Sue Frazier; son, Jeffery Thomas Frazier; daughter, Angela Kay Baisley; and special son-in-law, Rod Jackson. He leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Anthony (Deidre) Justice, Amanda (Chris) Gingerich, and Dynah Jackson; 9 great grandchildren, Autumn Turner, Toni, Christian, & Deklan Justice, Dixie & Matthew Gingerich, and Dominic, Isabella, & Amelia Dragone; 3 great great grandchildren, Casey Chism, Adler Turner, and Maverick Justice; and siblings, Bobby Holt, Sally Azbill, Priscilla Conley, Geraldine Walker, and Edward Frazier. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers.

Woodroe loved his family more than anything and took great pride in the generations of family that surrounded him. He cherished his bluegrass family and the friendships he made along the way. Among those especially close to him were Carlas Smith and Shane Ketchum.

Woodroe will be remembered as a proud veteran, a hardworking man, a devoted husband and father, loving grandfather and friend to many. His love for family, faith, and bluegrass music will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, a family who loved him deeply, and a legacy that will continue through the generations who called him Husband, Dad, Papa, and Friend. Dearly missed and forever loved.

Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 5-8pm. The funeral service will be on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 2pm, Jake Brink officiating. He will be laid to rest in Smiths Chapel Cemetery immediately following the service.
