Roy Odell Adams was arrested following a Cumberland County Grand Jury indictment handed down in the February 2026 term. Adams faces one count of aggravated sexual battery, a Class B felony, according to court documents scheduled for the September 8, 2026, General Sessions and Criminal Court docket.

The indictment alleges that between October 1 and November 28, 2024, Adams intentionally and unlawfully accomplished sexual contact with a juvenile victim born in July 2013, who was under the age of 13 at the time of the offense.

Investigated by Jonathan Human of the Crossville Police Department, the case is being prosecuted by District Attorney General Bryant C. Dunaway. Adams was taken into custody on February 5, 2026, on a pickup indictment.
