OLIVER SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE HALEY SEIBER RECEIVES 2026 MALINDA RABY YAGER SCHOLARSHIP
Eighteen-year-old Haley Seiber has stepped onto her college campus with significantly less financial pressure as the recipient of the 2026 Malinda Raby Yager Scholarship. Created in 2019 by State Senator Ken Yager and Mrs. Malinda Raby Yager, the annual award supports a graduating senior from Oliver Springs High School.
As a first-generation college student, Seiber noted that higher education would have remained out of reach without scholarship backing. She is currently attending Roane State to complete the Radiologic Technology Program, with long-term aspirations of working as an ultrasound technician and eventually practicing as an OBGYN.
Senator Yager announced Seiber’s selection in May, highlighting her achievements during the school’s Senior Awards program. Seiber’s scholarship is part of a broader network of financial aid administered through the Roane State Foundation, which awarded more than $500,000 in student support for the academic year.
