A late-night drive-thru tip at a local McDonald’s led to a high-speed vehicle pursuit, a crash, and the arrest of Brandy Goff late Sunday, September 6, 2026.

According to Crossville Police Department reports, officers were dispatched to the Peavine Road fast-food restaurant at approximately 11:55 p.m. after an employee spotted a glass drug pipe in the center console of a white Volkswagen Jetta.

When officers approached the vehicle, passenger was seen holding the glass pipe. As officers instructed her to exit, the driver—identified as Brandy Goff (pictured)—suddenly put the car into drive and fled, nearly striking Lt. Lester and forcing him to jump out of the way.

Officers pursued the vehicle as it entered westbound Interstate 40, reaching speeds of up to 124 mph. The suspect vehicle crossed multiple lanes and back roads before hitting a spike strip near Highway 127 and Potato Farm Road. After Goff struck a patrol unit during the pursuit, officers successfully executed a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle.

During the takedown, officers observed Goff draw a black firearm—later identified as a CO2-powered Glock-style BB gun—pointing it downward before complying with orders to drop it. She was safely removed and taken into custody.
