WATER RATES, FLOCK CAMERAS, INFRASTRUCTURE AND MORE AT TUESDAY’S CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION

The Crossville City Council is set to convene for a comprehensive work session on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM in Conference Room 317 of City Hall. Led by Mayor R.J. Crawford and City Manager Valerie Hale, city leaders will address an extensive 20-item agenda covering public safety, municipal infrastructure, and local economic development.
Key agenda highlights include:
  • Public Safety & Technology: Council members will review a presentation on the Flock Camera System and discuss applying for a Department of Justice grant to purchase police safety vests.
  • Utilities & Infrastructure: The session features crucial discussions regarding a water rate study, an update on Fire Station 1, and budget amendments for the Water Treatment Plant for fiscal year 2026-2027.
  • Property & Development: Leaders will weigh potential actions on selling Dunbar Avenue lots, accepting Stone School Loop as a city street, transferring the Industrial Spec Building to the Industrial Development Board, and reviewing change orders for the Industrial Spec Building and Miller Avenue projects.
  • Transportation & Aviation: Discussions are scheduled regarding the SR 462 Northwest Connector Phase 2 engineering contract, a flight training school operating agreement, and committee reports from the Airport Committee and the Cumberland Plateau Water Authority.
