Roane County experienced a largely peaceful weekend, marked primarily by routine medical responses and a couple of weather-related hazards.

Early Saturday morning, saturated ground from recent rains caused a tree to collapse onto power lines in the 500 block of Rosedale Circle in Kingston at approximately 5:30 AM. Shortly after at 7:30 AM, a second tree brought down power lines near Patton Avenue and East Wheeler Street, prompting a prompt response from the Street Department to clear the debris.

Aside from these isolated weather incidents and standard emergency medical calls handled by first responders and ambulance personnel, local officials reported a quiet weekend with no other major events.
