Local motorists should prepare for traffic disruptions this weekend as a stretch of Highway 116, also known as Main Street, closes for a community festival.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, the closure will take effect on Saturday, October 24, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Drivers traveling through the area during the event are advised to seek alternative routes. Officials recommend using Back Petros Road to navigate around the festival zone.
