MICHAEL SCOTT ELLIOTT FACES CHARGES IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY FOR AGGRAVATED BURGLARY AND THEFT

Michael Scott Elliott is facing felony charges in Cumberland County Circuit Court, including aggravated burglary and high-value property theft, following a November 2025 residential break-in.
According to court records and an affidavit of complaint filed by Deputy Blake Richardson of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded to a home on Creston Road. The homeowners reported that their residence had been burglarized, with an estimated $25,000 worth of property stolen, including handguns, rifles, electronics, jewelry, and ammunition.
An investigation led deputies to a property on McCampbell Road, where a resident told law enforcement that Brandon Stepp, Michael Elliott, and Ashley Threet had been discussing the stolen firearms, ammunition, and MacBooks. Authorities subsequently located stolen items scattered around the property and found Stepp hiding underneath the house.
Monterey Police officers later made contact with Elliott and Threet on Jolly Street. A consent search of Threet’s vehicle uncovered several of the stolen items.
Elliott is represented by attorney Howard Upchurch and is currently out on a $100,000 surety bond through Huckabee Bonding. His case is scheduled for a deadline hearing.
