ROANE COUNTY SEES QUIET DAY OVERSHADOWED BY MORNING I-40 CRASH
Aside from a few routine medical calls, Roane County experienced a calm day, disrupted only by a single traffic incident on Interstate 40 early Thursday morning.
Around 5:30 a.m., a two-vehicle collision involving a car and a tractor-trailer occurred near mile marker 356 at the Gallaher Road exit. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, resulting in temporary traffic delays. Crews spent several hours working to upright the semi-truck before normal traffic flow could resume.
Authorities confirmed that only minor injuries were reported from the crash. Emergency services expressed gratitude to the Kingston Fire Department for providing photos from the scene.
