CUMBERLAND COUNTY ANNOUNCES TOWN HALL MEETINGS AHEAD OF 2027 PROPERTY REAPPRAISAL
Ahead of the upcoming 2027 property reappraisal, Cumberland County Assessor of Property Kelli Buchannon has announced a series of community town hall meetings designed to help residents navigate the assessment process.
The informational sessions aim to demystify how property values are calculated, explain the relationship between reappraisals and property taxes, and outline what residents can expect when assessment change notices arrive next spring. Attendees will also learn the proper procedures for requesting a review if they have concerns regarding their property’s valuation.
The countywide outreach initiative features both daytime and evening options across multiple locations. Residents are welcome to attend any meeting regardless of where they live within the county:

November 5, 2026 (1:30–3:30 p.m.) – Fairfield Glade Multipurpose Room (455 Lakeview Drive, Fairfield Glade)

November 17, 2026 (1–3 p.m.) – Thunderbird Recreation Center at Lake Tansi (106 Deer Run Circle, Crossville)

November 20, 2026 (1–3 p.m.) – Art Circle Public Library (3 East Street, Crossville)

March 23, 2027 (5:30 p.m. CT / 6:30 p.m. ET) – Pine View Elementary School (349 Daysville Road, Rockwood)

March 25, 2027 (5:30–7 p.m.) – Thunderbird Recreation Center at Lake Tansi (106 Deer Run Circle, Crossville)

March 30, 2027 (5–6:30 p.m.) – Art Circle Public Library (3 East Street, Crossville)

Additional meetings for the North Cumberland and Pleasant Hill areas are expected to be announced at a later date.
The Assessor’s office noted that these events are entirely nonpolitical and informational. Local community groups and organizations interested in hosting a dedicated presentation are encouraged to contact the Cumberland County Assessor of Property Office to schedule a date.
