MULTI-AGENCY PURSUIT ACROSS STATE LINES ENDS IN CRASH, ARRESTS, AND RECOVERY OF WEAPONS AND NARCOTICS
A high-speed vehicle pursuit that began with a traffic stop in Livingston, Tennessee, spanned multiple jurisdictions, crossed the state line into Kentucky, and ended in a collision with a patrol vehicle on November 3, 2026.
The incident unfolded when Livingston police attempted to pull over a vehicle for a window tint violation. The driver fled north on Byrdstown Highway, drawing assistance from the Pickett County Sheriff’s Office and eventually the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office as the chase crossed into Kentucky. The pursuit concluded when the fleeing vehicle lost control and struck a Pickett County patrol unit.
The two occupants, identified as Florida residents Christian Messick and Michaelan Robinson, were detained at the scene and taken into custody by Kentucky authorities.
During the pursuit, suspects reportedly discarded a large quantity of suspected narcotics and multiple firearms from the vehicle. Those items were recovered by the Livingston Police Department and the Tennessee Highway Patrol for evidence collection.
