We have a very unstable atmosphere with the heat and humidity and that means more showers and thunderstorms possible everyday this week through the weekend and we have seen plenty of those in the past 24 hours. Some of them producing heavy downpours and cloud-to-ground lightning. A few more severe storms are possible on Thursday as a front approaches. Daytime temperatures in the 80s and nighttime temperatures in the 60s will continue. The national high temperature on Tuesday was 106 at Presidio Texas and the low was 22 at Bellemont Arizona .
