ROCKWOOD POLICE FILE DRUG CHARGES AGAINST CLARKRANGE MAN

A Fentress County man faces drug charges from Rockwood Police. Sunday, officers were called to an area in the 600 block of Highway 70 in connection with missing or endangered runaway juveniles. A vehicle was found parked with a man asleep at the wheel in a driveway at 1104 Highway 70. According to the report, the subject, 20-year-old Peyton Ray Jenkins of Clarkrange, was holding a folding knife in his hand. Jenkins was awakened and the blade confiscated. A personal search of the subject turned up syringes, spoons and digital scales. A half-gram of a crystal-like substance, believed to be meth, was seized along with three individual bags containing marijuana. Jenkins was charged with manufacture/delivery/sale of a controlled substance, simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
