A Roane County man lost his life in a single vehicle accident last Friday night (November 10, 2017). According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2012 Chrysler sedan driven by 29-year-old Austin J. Owens of Kingston was traveling north at the 1400^th block of Gallaher Road at a high rate of speed when he suddenly left the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle then went airborne and hit a tree. The Tennessee Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
