LOCAL MAN CHARGED WITH UNLAWFUL POSSESSION AFTER TRAFFIC STOP
During a weekend traffic stop, sheriff’s deputies arrested 54-year-old James Albert Sherrill of Crossville on a variety of charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession and simple possession of a Schedule II drug. A search of the vehicle reportedly turned up a syringe, a glass pipe with meth residue, a pill container with two blue pills and a plastic baggie with meth residue. Sherrill, a convicted felon, was taken to Cumberland County jail and initially placed under $12,500 bond.
